Senior Security Engineer (government)

This role is for a Senior Security Engineer supporting government contracts, focusing on IT and security infrastructure, networking, threat detection, incident response, and compliance. It involves administering Linux and Windows systems, managing security tools, performing patching and vulnerability remediation, and providing technical support. A Top Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Administer and maintain Linux-based operating systems and virtualization platforms, such as Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, VMware, KVM, QEMU/KVM, and Hyper-V.
  2. Support Windows server and workstation environments, including standalone systems and enterprise-wide deployments.
  3. Install, configure, operate, and maintain security and analysis tools such as Trellix, SentinelOne, Nessus, Splunk.
  4. Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, and hardening activities for systems and networks.
  5. Deliver Tier 1 through Tier 3 technical support and collaborate with Tier 2 support teams as needed
