Senior Solutions Engineer, Public Sector

Box is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector to support clients in expanding their footprint and breaking into new accounts. This role involves researching customer business problems, owning the technical win, serving as a subject matter expert, driving technical deals, understanding product integrations, and leading demos of Box's solutions including BoxAI. The ideal candidate will be AI-curious, technically fluent, and familiar with AI/ML concepts, while also possessing strong experience in the US Public Sector, including knowledge of FedRAMP and government procurement cycles.

What you'd actually do

  3. You serve as a subject matter expert across multiple industries
  4. You take responsibility for driving the technical deal forward
  5. You understand product integrations, including Salesforce, Google, Office365

Skills

Required

  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of Enterprise Field Solutions Engineer experience or relevant technical, customer facing experience
  • Experience with SLED and Federal accounts
  • strong knowledge of FedRAMP authorization process
  • Knowledge of government procurement cycles, RFP/RFI processes, and contract vehicles
  • Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, tools, and how they integrate into enterprise solutions
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Expertly build trust and rapport with diverse audiences

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with strategic partnerships or subcontractor relationships
  • Awareness of specific use cases such as citizen services modernization, secure document sharing across agencies, education collaboration needs etc.
  • AI-curious and technically fluent
