Senior Workday Engineer needed for production support of Revenue, Billing, and Collections stakeholders. Role involves daily support, close cycle assistance, report generation, incident management, and process documentation within a fast-moving SaaS environment. Requires hands-on experience with Workday Financials modules and understanding of Order-to-Cash processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Production Support: Serve as the first point of contact for system-related requests from Revenue, Billing, and Collections stakeholders; triage, prioritize, and resolve Jira tickets within SLA
  2. Close Support: Partner with Revenue Accounting and Billing teams during month-end and quarter-end close cycles; troubleshoot Workday revenue recognition and billing exceptions, investigate installment discrepancies, and support timely period close activities
  3. Report Requests: Build, maintain, and deliver ad hoc and recurring reports from Workday and related Finance systems to support billing operations, collections tracking, and revenue analysis
  4. Incident Management: Document, track, and escalate system issues; partner with the US-based Finance BT team to drive resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive follow-up
  5. Process Documentation: Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and user guides for recurring production support workflows

Skills

Required

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a finance systems, ERP support, or business technology analyst role
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Financials, specifically in Revenue Recognition, Billing, Customer Contracts, or related modules
  • Working knowledge of Workday security roles, business process framework, and domain-based security configuration
  • Experience triaging and managing support tickets in Jira, ServiceNow, or a comparable ITSM platform
  • Solid understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes, including billing workflows, collections, and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
  • Ability to independently investigate data discrepancies, trace transaction flows, and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with US-based stakeholders asynchronously and in real-time video calls
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or Salesforce Billing (awareness-level; not a primary system for this role)
  • Workday certification in Financial related modules
  • Exposure to revenue close automation, reconciliation tooling, or process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with SQL or analytics and BI tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, or similar
  • Prior experience supporting finance operations in a SaaS or high-growth technology company
