Figure AI is seeking a Service Technician for their AI Robotics company. The role involves onsite maintenance and repair of humanoid robots at customer locations, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software issues, and collaborating with engineering teams. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, detailed record-keeping, and developing diagnostic procedures. Requirements include experience with complex systems, diagnostic tools, mechanical assembly, and computer-based tools. Bonus qualifications include CAD, programming, fabrication, and robotics experience. The role is customer-facing and requires flexibility in scheduling.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for understanding all technical aspects of the robot to perform onsite maintenance and technical repairs at customer location
  2. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of the humanoid robot fleet
  3. Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and software-based issues
  4. Work closely with engineering, build, validation and fabrication teams to resolve issues quickly
  5. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs

Skills

Required

  • Experience working with complex systems
  • Familiarity with computer-based tools including but not limited to CMD prompt, Google Suite, in house development GUI’s
  • Familiarity with electrical hardware based diagnostic tools including Scope, Digital Multimeter, Current Probes
  • Familiarity with torque tools and mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read PCB and Harness schematics
  • Full system architecture diagnostic experience and organized diagnostic processes
  • Ability to remove and replace mechanical components up to 50lbs
  • Great attitude and excited to face challenges
  • Ability to perform duties and communicate with a high level of professionalism, in a customer-facing environment
  • Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need. Shifts may include evening or early morning hours.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English
  • Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics.
  • Minimum age of 21
