Software Engineer II, Full-Stack role at Affirm focused on the Card Acquisition team. What you'd actually do

  1. Work with product and engineering managers to implement business-critical features enabling new user experiences across the entire stack (React Native for FE and Python, Kotlin for BE)
  2. Work with team technical leaders to design and implement insightful, forward-looking approaches that go beyond the direct team and solve significant open-ended problems.
  3. Consistently generate simple, elegant designs and write high-quality code that others can easily understand and leverage.
  4. Collaborate with the design team to ensure a visually appealing and user-friendly interface.
  5. Build relationships with people across engineering and other organizations for project design, implementation, roll-out, and maintenance.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of experience as a full stack developer
  • Prior experience building and maintaining complex full stack systems with cross-browser support
  • Familiarity/Exposure to: React Native, Python / Java / Kotlin
  • Knowledge of modern front-end tech stack (we use Javascript, Typescript, React/Redux, ES6, Webpack, and CSS3)
  • Prior experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Sentry.io, Rollbar, Chronosphere, Kibana)
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
