This role is a hybrid technical and commercial position focused on accelerating customer adoption and success with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, particularly for complex customers in high-tech and manufacturing. The Solutions Architect will act as the post-sale technical lead, driving customer engagement, technical strategy, onboarding, enablement, and ensuring healthy consumption of Databricks workloads. The role requires strong technical credibility, project management, and stakeholder management skills to navigate customer organizations and internal Databricks teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Engage with Solutions Architects to understand the full use case demand plan for prioritized customers
  2. Lead the post-technical win technical account strategy and execution plan for the majority of Databricks use cases within our most strategic accounts
  3. Be the accountable technical leader assigned to specific use cases and customer(s) across multiple selling teams and internal stakeholders, creating certainty from uncertainty and driving onboarding, enablement, success, go-live and healthy consumption of the workloads where the customer has made the decision to consume Databricks
  4. Be the first contact for any technical issues or questions related to production/go-live status of agreed-upon use cases within an account, oftentimes services multiple use cases within the largest and most complex organizations
  5. Leverage both Shared Services, User Education, Onboarding/Technical Services and Support resources, along with escalating to expert-level technical experts to build the right tasks that are beyond your scope of activities or expertise

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of experience accountable for technical project/program delivery in Data and AI
  • Python, SQL or Scala programming experience
  • Customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting experience
  • Understanding of solution architecture for distributed data systems
  • Understanding of attributing business value and outcomes to project deliverables
  • Technical program or project management
  • Account, stakeholder, and resource management
  • Experience resolving complex escalations with senior customer executives
  • Experience conducting open-ended discovery workshops, creating strategic roadmaps, business analysis, and managing complex programs/projects

  • Can travel up to 30% when needed
