Sr Server Performance Architect

This role focuses on architecting, validating, and optimizing the performance of new features for AMD's next-generation servers, particularly in the context of AI and data centers. The Sr. Server Performance Architect will lead a team, define verification strategies, analyze performance bottlenecks using simulation and emulation, and drive the development of AI/ML-based infrastructure for performance analysis automation. The role requires a deep understanding of server design, performance metrics, and collaboration across various engineering teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of performance verification engineers.
  2. Define and execute the performance verification strategy for high-performance x86 CPU cores.
  3. Develop and execute performance verification plans targeting IPC, latency, throughput, and power efficiency.
  4. Build and maintain scalable, modular performance verification infrastructure.
  5. Drive the development of AI/ML-based infrastructure to automate performance analysis, anomaly detection, and efficiency improvements.
