This role designs and builds the platform architecture for T-Mobile's Physical & Edge AI business, focusing on the productized developer surface and underlying standards. The architect will define and enforce architectural guardrails, create solution designs, collaborate with business and technical teams, and mentor other architects. The role requires experience in architecting enterprise-scale systems and platforms, with preferred experience in developer platforms, marketplaces, and SaaS.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and develop the platform architecture for Physical & Edge AI (developer onboarding/SDKs, app marketplace, workflow orchestration, and billing/metering) as a coherent, productized developer surface
  2. Define and enforce architectural guardrails and standards for API design, identity/auth, multi-tenant isolation, observability, and extensibility to ensure compliance and reliable delivery
  3. Create and present high-level solution designs and technical documentation (RFCs, design docs, decision records) to guide development and leadership decisions
  4. Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into optimized technology solutions; partner with Product on the platform roadmap
  5. Lead deep technical reviews of platform features and partner integrations; act as a senior architectural authority for platform-tier decisions
