This role focuses on technical partner marketing for CockroachDB, emphasizing its role in the AI and cloud ecosystem. The individual will create content, lead go-to-market strategies for technology partners, and serve as a public-facing voice for the company within developer communities and industry events. The goal is to strengthen CockroachDB's position as a data layer for AI-native applications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead go-to-market storytelling for strategic technology partners across cloud, AI, and ISV ecosystems
  2. Create technical content, co-marketing campaigns, and developer-facing assets that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement
  3. Serve as a public-facing voice for Cockroach Labs across social channels, webinars, events, and developer communities
  4. Bring a strong point of view on AI-native applications, distributed systems, and modern infrastructure
  5. Help position CockroachDB as the trusted data layer for AI-native and modern applications

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, developer relations, partner marketing, or content marketing in a B2B technology company.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create content for developer and engineering audiences.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, APIs, databases, or infrastructure products.
  • Comfort collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.
  • Ability to plan and execute webinars, workshops, and virtual programs independently.
  • Track record of creating content that drives measurable developer engagement or pipeline.
  • A self-starter mentality. You don't wait for a brief. You go find the story.

Nice to have

  • Experience marketing to developers or within developer ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with databases, distributed systems, or cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Background in AI/ML ecosystem partnerships or ISV marketing.
  • Experience with dev rel community building (forums, Discord, GitHub, Stack Overflow).
