Datadog is seeking a Staff Applied Scientist to join their Applied AI team. This role will focus on developing and integrating AI-powered features into Datadog's observability and security platform, providing unified visibility and enabling faster issue resolution. The position is based in New York.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive the development and deployment of novel AI-powered features for Datadog's core products.
  2. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and implement AI strategies.
  3. Conduct research and experimentation to identify and leverage state-of-the-art AI techniques.
  4. Build and maintain robust ML pipelines for training, evaluation, and deployment.
  5. Contribute to the overall AI vision and roadmap of the company.

Skills

Required

  • Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Ability to work with large datasets and distributed computing systems.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices.
