Staff Product Marketing Manager

MongoDB MongoDB · Enterprise · New York, NY · Product Marketing

Staff Product Marketing Manager responsible for defining marketing strategy for critical product areas and strategic initiatives. This role requires navigating ambiguity, driving GTM strategies, influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership, and understanding technology fundamentals to effectively market MongoDB's offerings, particularly in the context of generative AI. The role focuses on the business impact and strategic execution of product marketing, not technical implementation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own Strategy & Execution: Act as the directly responsible individual for high-impact product areas, defining end-to-end marketing and enablement strategies that align with MongoDB’s long-term business goals
  2. Drive GTM Excellence: Develop data-driven GTM strategies including positioning, messaging, and persona development. You will advise teams on the best marketing and enablement techniques to persuade diverse audiences
  3. Solve Complex Problems: Identify and decompose intrinsically hard problems within the business. You will pressure-test strategic assumptions, identify gaps in GTM motions, and drive cross-functional consensus
  4. Act as a Strategic Consultant: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders. You will be expected to present clear plans, narratives, and risk assessments that influence the direction of the organization
  5. Mentor and Amplify: Raise the bar for the entire Product Marketing organization by sharing best practices, streamlining processes, and aligning all work to business objectives. You will actively mentor other team members to accelerate their growth
