Strategic Sourcing Manager role focused on optimizing procurement strategy, supplier relationships, and cost/quality/delivery performance for direct materials in an industrial setting. Responsibilities include overseeing procurement activities, managing buyers, developing supplier strategies, driving contract negotiations, evaluating supplier risks, and improving procurement operations. Requires extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management, negotiation, and contract management, with a strong knowledge of machining processes and supplier evaluation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Overseeing the procurement activities (Sourcing and Purchasing Operations) at the plant. Manage a team of buyers to drive procurement excellence and drive productivity and working capital initiative across LNG Supply base. Managed Site Team buyers and report on their Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly KPI’s. Oversee Buyers buying activities for the site and support as needed to cover gaps
  2. Work closely with HON Global Category Sourcing Team and support activities where applicable for alternate suppliers’ selection, supplier strategies and new supplier qualification, and supply base expansion to support LNG business growth
  3. Drive contract strategies with key strategic suppliers together with HON Global Category Sourcing Team. Lead negotiations for Key Strategic LNG Suppliers along with Global Category Purchasing Team alignment for Contracts, pricing, capacity, pay terms to achieve favorable outcome for the LNG business
  4. Evaluate supplier risks and work with supplier and internal cross functional team on supplier’s risk mitigation plan
  5. Implement supplier score card system in alignment with Global Project Procurement
