This role is for a Senior ICT Engineer specializing in Active Infrastructure, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of network components like routers, switches, and firewalls. The role involves technical leadership, strategic planning, and ensuring network performance, security, and reliability. Key responsibilities include leading complex network solution design, configuring and managing network devices, performing system design for security, optimizing designs, estimating costs, developing security policies, troubleshooting, capacity planning, managing monitoring systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, evaluating new technologies, and documenting configurations. The role also involves providing technical leadership and training to junior engineers, ensuring compliance with standards and policies, and supporting advanced ICT system development. Advanced technical skills in routing, switching, security, wireless, cloud networking, load balancing, monitoring tools, and scripting are required. What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of complex active network solutions, including routing, switching, security, and wireless technologies.
  2. Configure, deploy, and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex active network infrastructures.
  • Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), , and network security principles.
  • Proven experience with leading network vendors' equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, hp, Fortinet).
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and software-defined networking (SDN).
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills for complex network issues.
  • Ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and present technical information to diverse audiences.
