This role is for a Talent Manager at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) London, focusing on managing artists within designated departments. The responsibilities include day-to-day operational support, managing crewing and scheduling, partnering with Heads of Department for career development and performance reviews, and collaborating with production management to plan for incoming work and hiring requirements. The role also involves working with HRBP on employee engagement and relations, and with the Training team to develop training plans. The ideal candidate will have experience in a scheduling or crewing role in the VFX industry, strong people management and leadership skills, excellent communication, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manages a portfolio of artists including day to day operational support.
  2. Manage artist crewing and scheduling for specific departments.
  3. Partners with the relevant Head of Department (Hod) for casting, artist career development, performance reviews and other departmental initiatives.
  4. Works closely with Senior Studio Production Manager (SPM) on understanding capacity changes, to proactively identify and plan for work coming into the studio.
  5. Works collaboratively with SPM, Production, Supervisors, HoDs and Recruiters to define and communicate ongoing hiring requirements for assigned departments
