Tax Manager - Renewable Energy

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage renewable energy client engagements and participate in the targeting of new clients
  2. Deliver value to clients by identifying opportunities and advising clients on the potential benefits and eligibility requirements related to: - IRC section 48 Investment Tax Credit - IRC section 45 Production Tax Credit - IRC section 45Q Carbon Capture Tax Credit - IRC section 45V Clean Hydrogen Tax Credit
  3. Preparation of tax returns and provide advisory services related to the modeling and structuring of renewable energy tax equity structures, such as: - Partnership flip - Sale-leaseback - Pass-through lease
  4. Maintain and develop strong internal and client relationships
  5. Demonstrate sound judgment and a quality-first mentality with respect to evaluating eligibility for various fact patterns

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Experience with partnership taxation
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry
  • Knowledge of tax credits (IRC section 48, 45, 45Q, 45V)
  • Ability to manage client engagements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with tax equity financial modeling
  • Familiarity with cost segregation studies
