This role is a Team Lead for Email Deliverability at Braze, a customer engagement platform. The position involves leading a regional team of deliverability experts, managing a book of business, providing advanced support to customers and internal teams, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve email programs and customer experience. The role requires strong understanding of email deliverability, experience coaching consultants, and a consultative approach to issue analysis and problem-solving. It is not directly AI/ML related, but focuses on optimizing a core communication channel for a consumer-facing product.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide advanced deliverability support to our customers and our internal teams.
  2. Carry and service a small portfolio of assigned customers with a paid Deliverability Services Consulting entitlement;
  3. Oversee, nurture, and grow a small team of regionally-based deliverability consultants through day-to-day interactions and long-term career development
  4. Interface directly with prospects and customers, leveraging email deliverability expertise and leadership skills to help build strong relationships and foster trust
  5. Function as an escalation point for the regional team to support customers through deliverability issues, as well as increase customer value and retention

Skills

Required

  • Experience coaching or mentoring email deliverability consultants
  • Very strong understanding of the email deliverability space, including technical concepts and best practice deliverability strategies
  • A well-demonstrated, consultative approach to deliverability issue analysis, root cause identification, and high client satisfaction throughout issue support
  • High familiarity in coordinating with mailbox providers, blocklist operators, and filtering companies to understand the evolving email landscape and navigate challenging deliverability outcomes
  • Proven experience in identifying and implementing process optimization and transformation in order to increase process efficiency, reduce time-to-market & support scalability
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with, influence, and align with multiple stakeholders
  • A strong mindset of problem-solving with multiple operational tools
