Technical Program Manager, Mission Autonomy

The Technical Program Manager, Mission Autonomy at Anduril will manage new technology development initiatives within the Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and customer facing program portfolio. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, other program managers, chief engineers, test and evaluation, business operations, and finance, to drive scoping and execution of initiatives that enable the Mission Autonomy business line. The role also involves leading execution of early-phase programs and managing external customer relationships.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive scoping and execution of different initiatives that make up the Mission Autonomy business line. These initiatives will enable the success of the Mission Autonomy Business Line
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, other program managers, chief engineers, test and evaluation, business operations, and finance to meet objectives.
  3. Support the execution of functional engineering roadmaps to ensure they align with long-term strategic bets and program needs.
  4. Lead execution of early-phase programs that have been won through the capture process. This will involve external customer relationship management.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • A technical career background
  • Willingness to travel, this is a travel heavy opportunity (up to 70%)
  • Deep familiarity with subsystems and knowledge of robotics systems that you have previously worked on.
  • Evidence in understanding technical tradeoffs and how to reduce risk through key development efforts.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, influencing engineering teams, and interacting with leadership stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, adept at conveying intricate plans and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience in leading product development related to or Unmanned Vehicle (UxV) development within the robotics sectors.
  • Knowledge of hardware + software development practices and best practices for autonomous robotics systems.
  • Startup experience: wearing different hats that go beyond the scope outlined in your job description
