Shield AI is seeking a Staff Software Recruiter to scale critical engineering organizations, focusing on specialized technical domains like Autonomy, Robotics, Embedded Software, Perception, Planning, Controls, and Distributed Systems. This role requires a strategic talent partner who can shape hiring strategy, influence workforce planning, and build pipelines for hard-to-hire technical talent in a high-growth, high-ambiguity environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own full-cycle recruiting for complex software engineering functions with a particular emphasis on Autonomy, Robotics, Embedded Software, Perception, Planning, Controls, Distributed Systems, and other highly specialized technical domains supporting next-generation aerospace and autonomous systems development.
  2. Operate as a true talent partner to engineering leadership, helping shape hiring strategy, influence workforce planning, drive prioritization discipline, and build scalable pipelines for some of the hardest-to-hire technical talent in the industry.
  3. Close senior and niche software engineering talent while balancing speed, quality, and stakeholder partnership.
