Teleop Operator

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · AFS : Discovery Engineering : Discovery Engineering

Operate robotic systems via teleoperation equipment and collect high-quality demonstration data for AI training. This role involves wearing motion capture and VR equipment to guide robots through task demonstrations, working closely with the AI engineering team to refine data collection procedures and identify failure modes. It is a hands-on, physical role requiring comfort with extended standing and repetitive precision tasks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Operate robotic systems via teleoperation equipment (VR headset, haptic gloves, body tracking) to collect task demonstration data
  2. Execute demonstration protocols for manipulation tasks: grasping, tool use, assembly, equipment setup
  3. Upload, label, and organize collected data for AI training pipelines
  4. Identify and report issues during data collection: equipment failures, edge cases, task ambiguities
  5. Follow equipment maintenance, safety, and shutdown procedures
