Vice President, Head of Europe Interchange & Pricing

Visa is seeking a Vice President, Head of Europe Interchange & Pricing to lead interchange and pricing strategy across Europe. This senior leadership role involves collaborating with various teams to strengthen issuer preference, expand merchant acceptance, and optimize revenue. The candidate will develop strategic roadmaps, identify new revenue models, shape regulatory positions, and modernize workflows using data, automation, and AI-enabled tools. The role also includes leadership responsibilities for talent development and fostering innovation, including the responsible use of AI-enabled tools and intelligent workflows.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development of interchange and pricing strategies for Europe, taking into account value, product and service differentiation, sustainability, and the competitive landscape.
  2. Develop and steer a clear strategic roadmap (3–5 years) across core payments, new flows (e.g., A2A, Visa Direct), and value-added services.
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic alignment and establish best practices for interchange and pricing across Europe. Responsibilities include opportunity identification, forecasting, business case development, rate structure design, stakeholder impact assessment, and implementation planning.
  4. Identify and implement new revenue models, while strengthening existing models, to optimize net revenue growth.
  5. Shape Visa’s position on interchange regulation and policy topics, working closely with Legal and Government Engagement.

Skills

Required

  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in payments, management consulting, corporate strategy, pricing, banking, or finance.
  • Significant experience in the payments industry preferred, with strong knowledge of network economics, value flows, and competitive dynamics.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong intellectual rigor and sound business judgment.
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively and influence senior leaders, external partners, and industry regulators.
  • Comfortable operating in complex and ambiguous environments, with the ability to develop rigorous, fact-based recommendations for senior management

  • Experienced, results-oriented leader with a proven ability to lead high-impact, region-wide initiatives across multiple workstreams. Demonstrated success addressing a broad range of strategic and operational business challenges.
