Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Aeronautical / Engineer Aeronautical to design, develop, and test aircraft parts, considering natural laws affecting flight. Responsibilities include establishing structural specifications, performing stress analysis, conducting performance tests, reviewing models and drawings for accuracy, coordinating repairs, and performing dispositions for nonconforming parts. The role also involves analyzing and developing structural engineering analysis packages for product design or operation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Designs, develops, and tests a variety of aircraft parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
  2. Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.
  3. Participates in the development and review of completed models, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, to provide evaluation of engineering products for conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications.
  4. Carries out repairs and coordinates with a team of multiple disciplines engineers to determine effective solutions to defects that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives.
  5. Perform timely dispositions for nonconforming parts, assemblies, and installations.
