Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Industrial Engineer or Industrial Engineer to analyze shop floor data, develop metrics, provide support to the manufacturing floor, develop production build schedules, and implement cost-saving solutions using Continuous Improvement tools. The role requires a STEM degree and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyze shop floor data and develop metrics for daily performance management, i.e. daily earns, efficiency, WIP, cost and schedule
  2. Provide support to the manufacturing floor by working with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving, impactful solutions.
  3. Develop and iterate on detail production build schedules by working closely with Production Operations
  4. Work with frontline leadership to assess current state and implement cost-saving solutions.
  5. Utilize various Continuous Improvement tools to analyze shop floor practices and processes for opportunities to minimize scrap, reduce cost, increase capacity and optimize schedule.
