Northrop Grumman is seeking Signature Management and Survivability Engineers to develop and integrate advanced technology to reduce aircraft detectability in the electromagnetic spectrum. Responsibilities include developing predictive analysis codes, building and testing physical models, designing test equipment, and integrating specialty materials. The role requires a STEM degree (Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Physics, Acoustics) and a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops and integrates advanced technology to reduce the detectability of aircraft in the electromagnetic spectrum
  2. Develops and implements predictive analysis codes; builds and tests physical models; designs, develops, and builds test and verification equipment; and develops, tests, and integrates specialty materials
  3. Works closely with engineers of other disciplines to optimize the integration of this technology on existing and future aircraft

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by January 2027
  • Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Acoustics Engineering, or other related STEM degree program
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice to have

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
  • Active Secret security clearance or Top Secret security clearance
  • Coursework and/or experience in Electrical Engineering
  • Coursework and/or experience in electromagnetics and/or aircraft survivability
  • Programming experience in C++, MATLAB, Python, or other highly technical languages
  • Experience in signature integration, RCS design, analysis, and testing
  • Experience with 3D Method of Moments (MoM) such as SENTRi and 3D Physical Optics (PO) codes such as Xpatch
  • Knowledge and ability with RCS data processing tools, such as Knowbell, Saber, or Pioneer
