What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement new features/code to improve the performance and capabilities of the software application
  2. Participate in discussions/decisions regarding future software engineering direction and evaluation, prioritization, and elimination of technical debt
  3. Support, evaluate, and continuously improve technology and business processes to maintain alignment with business plans
  4. Provide expertise to address complex and crucial technical problems concerning the software application's functioning
  5. Develop and maintain strategic relationships within and other departments and functional operations and interacts with business contacts

Required

  • develop Python and TypeScript scripts to process manufacturing and financial datasets for cost analysis, forecasting and reporting
  • Integrate with AWS services to collect usage metrics, schedule and automate batch jobs, and generate operational notifications
  • design and optimize data pipelines using PySpark and Databricks to process high-volume billing datasets
  • Implement delta lake schema design, create complex data transformation queries, perform partition optimization, and orchestrate pipelines
  • implement cloud cost dashboards and an automated stakeholder notification system to reduce infrastructure spend
  • architecting secure and scalable CI/CD pipelines using both GitHub Actions and Terraform for all Infra as Code deployments
  • Implement version-controlled infrastructure and environment configuration management
  • develop and maintain dashboards and advanced search queries in Elasticsearch and Datadog to support real-time monitoring of production applications and infrastructure
  • Configure log ingestion, build visualizations and alerts, and implement anomaly detection and synthetic monitoring to proactively identify system and performance issues
