Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer to perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. The role involves analyzing systems from concept through disposal, ensuring requirements are translated into system solutions, and performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, and requirements allocation. A Secret security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  2. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  3. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or similar STEM degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
