Account Executive – Central Government

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pipeline development to negotiation and close — for a named set of central government accounts
  2. Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, procurement leads, and agency decision-makers
  3. Develop and execute account plans aligned to each agency's mission and strategic priorities
  4. Partner with Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Professional Services to deliver compelling proposals and demos
  5. Navigate complex procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, and government contract vehicles (e.g., MEPA, SDAPA, Consip Frameworks, etc.)

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of B2B enterprise software or SaaS sales experience
  • at least 2 years selling into government or public sector accounts
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Experience navigating government procurement processes and contract vehicles
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build a business case and articulate ROI to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously

Nice to have

  • Salesforce experience is a plus!
  • Existing relationships within federal, state, or local government agencies
  • Experience selling cloud, AI, or data/analytics solutions
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to the public sector (FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, etc.)
