Account Executive for Whatnot, a livestream shopping platform, responsible for acquiring and nurturing new German-speaking livestream sellers. This role involves managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to closing deals and providing strategic coaching to sellers to help them scale their businesses on the platform. The goal is to meet and exceed sales targets by effectively managing a pipeline of potential sellers.

What you'd actually do

  1. drive the expansion of Whatnot’s supply by acquiring and nurturing new livestream sellers
  2. manage the entire sales cycle, from pitching and onboarding to providing strategic coaching and facilitating growth
  3. consistently meet or exceed sales targets by effectively managing your pipeline
  4. Deeply understanding our end-to-end sales process and collaborating with the team to bring high-potential sellers to Whatnot
  5. Source and prospect sellers, securing initial discovery and onboarding calls
  6. Leading sales calls with seller prospects, primarily over video and phone calls, overcoming objections and effectively communicating Whatnot’s value proposition
  7. Closing sellers, ultimately onboarding them onto the platform, and setting them up for success
  8. Utilizing key data points to assess seller growth, success, and areas for improvement to drive continuous iteration
  9. Collaborating with internal partners to develop business growth strategies and communicate product improvements and feedback

Skills

Required

  • Fluent German and English speaker
  • Deep understanding of the DACH market
  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, client-facing role
  • Track record of working quickly and iteratively
  • Fast learner and self-starter
  • Experience selling and closing deals
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and client needs
  • Proficiency with a CRM software
  • Business acumen
  • Deeply analytical
  • Comfortable understanding and manipulating data

Nice to have

  • Experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform
  • Proficiency in Airtable and Salesforce
  • Passion for creator communities and/or new product categories suited to live ecommerce
