Account Executive, Sled

This role is for an Account Executive focused on the State, Local, and Education (SLED) sector, responsible for driving revenue growth by selling Okta's identity solutions to new and existing customers. While the company discusses AI's potential and Okta's role in securing it, the core function of this role is sales, not AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage the sales process for medium-sized new logo customers from demo to contract negotiation
  2. Expand business within existing Okta customers by building long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
  3. Develop and execute against an assigned quota and territory plan
  4. Prospect, forecast, build and maintain a sales pipeline with assigned Sales Development Representatives
  5. Present to C-level executives in the field and via web demonstrations

Skills

Required

  • 5 years of SLED sales and account management experience in a SaaS/Cloud B2B environment
  • A proven track record of success selling in territory to mid-sized and/or enterprise customers
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • BS/BA degree preferred

Nice to have

  • ISV or Channel experience strongly preferred
