This role is for an Account Executive focused on selling Verkada's AI-powered physical security platform to state and local government agencies and educational institutions. The role involves managing the full sales cycle, meeting quotas, and providing customer feedback to the product team.

What you'd actually do

  1. Source and close new business to consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas
  2. Build an intimate understanding of Verkada products and their place in the industry
  3. Manage the full sales cycle: Prospect for new customers, host online demos, create proposals, and close deals
  4. Maintain accurate pipeline management with expert-level forecasting
  5. Consistently exceed activity targets through proactive outreach via phone calls, emails, conducting online demos, and facilitating trials.

Skills

Required

  • At least 2 years of sales experience in a quota-carrying capacity
  • Highly effective communication skills, with ability to build rapport, nurture relationships, and strong presentation skills
  • Thrive in a dynamic, competitive, and fast-paced startup environment
  • Tenacity, drive to learn, and self-motivated

Nice to have

  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus
  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required
