Account Technical Lead

This role is a Technical Sales Account Lead for Autodesk's AECO customers. The primary focus is on understanding customer business strategies and challenges, translating them into a technical vision, and developing technical proposals to deliver tangible results. The role involves leading discovery sessions, designing solutions, coordinating technical specialists for demos and benchmarks, and building long-term technical partnerships. It is a sales-supporting function.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead discovery sessions to understand customer systems, workflows, pain points, and objectives. Translate findings into actionable insights.
  2. Develop and maintain a strategic technical roadmap for each account, ensuring alignment between customer goals and Autodesk capabilities.
  3. Design and define tailored technical solutions that demonstrate ROI and align with customer business initiatives.
  4. Coordinate and lead technical specialists to deliver demos, benchmarks, evaluations, and ROI modelling.
  5. Establish credibility through consistent delivery, accurate information, and solution-oriented engagement.

Skills

Required

  • Degree, education or equivalent work experience in AECO or Data and Platform solutions
  • > 8 years experience in customer-facing roles
  • Fluent English
  • Outcome-focused approach to solving customer challenges
  • Experienced or interested in a sales-supporting function (e.g., presales)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
  • Team player, who can manage multiple priorities
