Job Description:

Intel's Finance Organization ensures high-quality accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance globally. We partner across the organization to deliver accurate GAAP-compliant accounting and maintain strong internal controls.

This role supports employee benefit programs including Health & Welfare and Pension/Retirement accounting. You'll handle monthly close activities, statutory reporting, audit support, and proxy deliverables while partnering with HR Benefits, Treasury, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant benefit accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support recurring close activities for health, welfare, and pension programs including journal entries, reconciliations, rollforwards, and workpapers

• Prepare and maintain account analyses for benefit balances, liabilities, and expenses

• Provide support for country-specific retirement workstreams including Canada pension activities

• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve data and reporting issues

• Support U.S. statutory reporting and audit deliverables for employee benefit plans

• Prepare schedules, supporting files, and documentation for audits and regulatory requirements

• Coordinate with external auditors, actuaries, and plan service providers

• Assist with audit requests, tie-outs, walkthroughs, and reporting support throughout the year

• Support annual proxy statement preparation including data, schedules, and analyses

• Partner with Legal, External Reporting, HR, and finance teams for compensation inputs

• Assist with review support and documentation for annual proxy reporting requirements

• Execute SOX controls including review procedures, reconciliations, and documentation

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with variance analyses and management reporting

• Maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for auditability

• Partner with auditors on testing, walkthroughs, remediation, and issue resolution

• Identify opportunities to improve and standardize employee benefit accounting processes

• Support automation and documentation enhancement initiatives

• Contribute to Hire-to-Retire accounting environment improvements

• Develop technical accounting knowledge and employee benefits expertise

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

• Minimum 3+ years accounting/finance experience with close support

• Experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills for matrixed organizations

• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Employee benefits accounting experience (Health, Welfare, Pension)

• Proxy support and statutory reporting experience

• SOX compliance and audit support experience
