This role is for an Accountant at Johnson & Johnson in the Philippines. The primary responsibilities include maintaining operational excellence in financial closing and execution, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial reporting, managing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting audits. The role also involves being a trusted business partner by executing global strategies and driving continuous improvement and process efficiency. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, 0-4 years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and knowledge of general accounting principles. CPA or CMA certifications are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
  2. Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
  3. Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items.
  4. Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
  5. Generate ideas, fosters, and implements continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business discipline
  • 0-4 years of professional experience

  • Experience with SAP or other ERPs
  • Experience in a shared services center of a multinational corporation
