Position Summary
Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Work You’ll Do
- Lead analysis and redesign of FMS accounting and related business processes across the Security Cooperation environment.
- Assess current-state financial management processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, compliance, and auditability.
- Support alignment of accounting processes with DoD financial management and general ledger requirements.
- Coordinate and support annual reconciliations, including identification, tracking, and resolution of variances.
- Contribute to audit remediation efforts by helping address process, control, and documentation gaps.
- Work with stakeholders to define business requirements and implement improved accounting and financial management processes.
- Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures, and control narratives as needed.
- Provide subject matter expertise on FMS accounting issues, federal financial processes, and DoD financial reporting requirements.

We work with the CFO, CAO, controller, and treasurer to develop an efficient, high quality, data-driven, tech-enabled controllership and treasury function that empowers our clients to drive more value to their business partners and to their investors.
Qualifications
Required**: **
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Secret clearance for this role
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a federal or defense environment.
- 2+ years of experience performing and supporting annual reconciliations, including researching variances and resolving discrepancies.
- 2+ years of direct Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience in a federal government environment required.
- 2+ years of experience with defense general ledger accounting processes, entries, and financial reporting structures.
- 2+ years of experience supporting defense audit remediation, including control documentation, corrective action support, or audit response activities.
- 3+ years of experience working across complex federal organizations with multiple stakeholders, changing requirements, and cross-functional business process dependencies.
- Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $163,100.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
