This role is responsible for maintaining general accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure proper financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. Key responsibilities include managing the general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions, performing account reconciliations, and preparing financial reports. The role also ensures compliance with audit specifications and participates in process development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Maintain general accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that proper information is reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  2. Assists in accounting functions which may include general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions.
  3. Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
  4. Conduct account reconciliation periodically, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making.
  5. Develop and prepare financial reports including profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements.
