This role focuses on the engineering and development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features at Ford Motor Company. The engineer will lead the development of feature engineering deliverables, work with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Test), define requirements, ensure system integration, and support validation and root-cause analysis. The role involves using data analysis techniques for feature validation and supporting real-world evaluations. Experience with sensors (radars, cameras, LIDAR, ultrasonic) and system engineering principles like the System V and Functional Safety (ISO-26262) is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development of feature engineering deliverables including Concept, Logical and Technology requirements, Boundary diagrams, design analysis, Failure Mode Avoidance, robustness fields and test procedures.
  2. Work with Hardware, Software and Test teams to ensure Feature requirements are cascaded, aligned, and accepted.
  3. Develop and refine vehicle level uses cases, interfaces and feature level specification to ensure production feature delivery.
  4. Establish Feature objectives and ensure system operation to meet the end-user/customer objectives through a structured system level test methodology
  5. Use data analysis techniques and methods from data generated by track, lab and model-based validation method to ensure feature achieves a desired set of requirements.
