The role focuses on the development and integration of Functional Safety work products for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features at Ford. Responsibilities include leading the development of HARA, FSC, and TSC, producing safety analyses (DFMEA, FTA, DFA), supporting verification and validation planning and test case creation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product safety. Experience with ISO 26262 and automotive product development is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development and integration of Functional Safety work products on vehicle program applications for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features like BlueCruise and Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist
  2. Develop and maintain Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA), Functional Safety Concepts (FSC), and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).
  3. Produce safety analysis (DFMEA, FTA, DFA, per ISO 26262)
  4. Support the planning of Safety Verification & Validation activities at different levels of system abstraction
  5. Support the creation of test cases (DVP), their execution and evaluation of the results
