Ford is seeking a Systems TPM Supervisor for their ADAS team to lead and mentor Systems Technical Program Managers. The role involves driving the integration of complex technical domains, managing roadmaps, making critical technical and program decisions, managing risks and dependencies, providing data-driven program governance, improving processes, and developing the team. The focus is on next-generation driver-assistance architectures and current DAT architecture, contributing to Ford's vision of connected, autonomous, shared, and electric vehicles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leading the comprehensive planning and development of Systems roadmaps, meticulously aligning program timing and deliverables with both platform systems and feature system development.
  2. Driving critical technical and program decisions to successful completion, ensuring seamless alignment between technical development, strategic departmental priorities, supplier constraints, and overarching Platform & Program expectations.
  3. Proactively identifying, analyzing, and managing complex upstream and downstream risks and dependencies. You will raise awareness among leadership and develop robust mitigation plans to keep development teams unblocked and on track.
  4. Owning the critical data and insights required to prepare and drive impactful Program and Platform review content, fostering transparency and informed decision-making.
  5. Championing and driving continuous process improvement across the ADAS organization to accelerate our already strong culture of quality, efficiency, and excellence.
  6. Recruiting, developing, and coaching a team of high-performing Systems Technical Program Managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in automotive project or program management.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Systems Engineering or related technical leadership role.

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep, applied knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, including Design, Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA), Requirements Atomization, and Traceability.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Ford’s Global Product Development System (GPDS), understanding its phases, deliverables, and role in accelerating product development.
  • Experience in Automotive Electronic Control Modules (ECU) and Sensor Design.
  • Proficiency in Systems Modeling and Requirements Management tools such as MagicDraw and Jama.
  • Proficiency in Agile project management and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate technical teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
