Administrative Assistant to Vice President supporting the Engineering organization at Northrop Grumman. Requires a Secret security clearance and ability to work in a classified environment. Responsibilities include office management, executive administrative support, preparing information for meetings, analyzing data, facilitating meetings, arranging travel, and handling confidential information.

What you'd actually do

  1. Providing administrative support to leadership as assigned
  2. Collecting and preparing information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and external customers
  3. Analyzing data to determine root cause of complex problems and to identify solutions
  4. Facilitating program meetings, executive meetings, customer visits, and other events.
  5. Arranging executive level travel arrangements

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 8 years of additional education and/or experience in the administrative professional field or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in the administrative professional field
  • Active U.S. government Secret security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business need
  • Understand the sensitive nature of working in the executive office and have good judgement, problem solving skills and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) to maintain calendars, coordinate meetings and compose briefings, reports, correspondence, and memorandum
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and interface effectively at all levels within the organization while protecting and maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to assess priorities and manage multiple administrative tasks
  • Proficiency in business and travel expense system (Concur or similar)
  • Experience in planning and providing logistical support for meetings and events
  • Effective networking skills to be able to find solutions to wide range of issues

Nice to have

  • Bachelor 's Degree
  • Experience in reviewing and editing written material for correct spelling and grammar
  • Familiarity and experience working with Northrop Grumman systems (SAP, Concur, SmartBuy, iTrip)
  • Knowledge of Northrop Grumman Corporation resources, polices, and procedures
  • Advanced experience with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system
  • Experience supporting senior level management/customers in a dynamic program environment
