Google's gTech Professional Services team is seeking an Ad Solutions Engineer to build and scale tools, platforms, and solutions for strategic LCS partners. This role involves designing and implementing complex, cross-product customized solutions, providing technical guidance, and troubleshooting issues to help agencies and partners achieve their business goals.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be responsible for proactively identifying and building a series of solutions and best practices for agencies and partners globally.
  2. Leverage engineering skills to design and scale complex, cross-product customized solutions to be rolled out to thousands of customers globally.
  3. Collect requirements, provide guidance, best practices and innovative solutions to apply ad products and technologies and drive agency/partner and gTech business goals.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience using Machine Learning and building solutions.
  • Experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix, etc.).
  • Experience working with ad tech products (e.g., ad server, DSPs, DMPs, and web analytics) and understanding of engineering solutions built for scale.
  • Experience working in the ad space (i.e., first party data onboarding and activation, measurement and data modeling, video and search advertising).
