Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Audio

Apple Apple · Big Tech · Hanoi, Hanoi, Vietnam · Operations and Supply Chain

This role focuses on designing, developing, and scaling precision assembly and measurement processes for Apple products. It involves researching and implementing novel automation technologies, owning engineering challenges from concept to production, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and global partners. The role requires expertise in manufacturing equipment, automation solutions, statistical tools, and failure analysis, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 3 years of experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own all aspects of manufacturing equipment and fixtures (E&F), including design, development, ongoing maintenance, and post-ramp process improvements
  2. Research, develop, and implement new or improved manufacturing processes grounded in sound engineering principles
  3. Design automated and semi-automated solutions for precision alignment, assembly, and measurement applications from early concept through high-volume production ramp
  4. Lead machine qualification activities including correlation studies, process capability (Cp/Cpk), and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R); apply statistical tools such as DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma to ensure processes remain scalable and in control
  5. Run structured experiments to characterize machine capability and drive measurable improvements in UPH, yield, and downtime
