Description
As part of Apple's engineering team, you will be responsible for manufacturing research and development to tackle sophisticated problems that have a direct impact on the final product cost, quality, and delivery of Apple products.
Under broad goals and objectives, exercises judgment within general defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for acquiring solutions to complex problems.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Automation area.
Experienced in an engineering (automation) role for new product introduction.
Be proficient in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
Preferred Qualifications
Have the ability to communicate optimally in a worldwide environment—and multi-functional team
New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience desired.
Proven track record of cost reduction, project management, and engineering design required.
Required to understand and build tolerance stack-ups for assemblies and part level.
A strong plus would be knowledge of optics principles related to CCD cameras, 2D and 1D lasers, and their use for positioning and critical alignment fixtures.
Basic understanding of adhesives and dispensing technology.
A solid understanding of pneumatics, servo motors, PLC, and PC-based control systems is a plus.
Machine Learning, JMP, Minitab, Six Sigma experience are a plus.
