This role focuses on designing and implementing Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions, specifically building performance and analytical models for industrial equipment and processes using R, Python, and Machine Learning tools. The engineer will be responsible for the technical delivery of projects, creating design documents, managing customer interactions, and ensuring solutions are integrated with other systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and build performance and analytical models for new equipment types.
  2. Design and build models for process scenarios.
  3. Lead/Support the technical delivery of the project right from design to closure.
  4. Create/Support Design documents- FDS, DDS, test procedures and training manuals.
  5. Lead customer meetings including KOM, design workshops, trainings, and testing.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing APM solutions
  • Excellent understanding of unit operations and processes in chemical process industries
  • Ability to build equipment/process performance models using thermodynamic and 1st principles
  • Experience with R, Python, or other Machine Learning tools
  • Experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Experience with integration using OPC, OLEDB, ODBC, and web services
  • Experience implementing APM solutions (Aspen M-Tell, GE Smart Signal, AVEVA APM, etc.)
  • Understanding of various Analytic software
  • Experience developing analytic algorithms for customized prediction models

Nice to have

  • Good understanding of Industry standards in APM space
  • Experience in operations, maintenance & diagnosis of failures for key operating equipment’s
  • Understanding and implementation knowledge of RCM, FMEA, RCA
  • Experience with Honeywell or third-party applications for data visualization
