Honeywell Honeywell · Industrial · Suzhou, Jiangsu, China

This role focuses on establishing and leading comprehensive hardware testing frameworks for electronic hardware products. Responsibilities include developing testing strategies, plans, and cases, conducting various types of testing (functional, EMC, reliability), debugging complex environments, analyzing faults, and improving testing processes through automation. The role also involves guiding junior engineers and staying updated on new testing technologies, including AI-assisted testing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the establishment of the comprehensive hardware testing framework for electronic hardware products throughout their entire lifecycle, including the formulation of testing strategies, development of test plans, and the design and optimization of test cases—to ensure comprehensive coverage across core dimensions such as circuit functionality, component selection, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), reliability, and performance.
  2. Actively participate in hardware product requirements reviews, design solution reviews, and schematic/PCB reviews; identify potential design risks from a testing perspective; propose targeted improvement recommendations; and drive the optimization of product designs.
  3. Independently set up and debug complex hardware testing environments; skillfully utilize specialized test instruments—such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, multimeters, and electronic loads—to conduct board-level testing, system-level testing, environmental reliability testing (covering high/low temperatures, humidity, vibration, shock, etc.), and EMC testing (covering ESD, surge, radiated emissions, etc.).
  4. Responsible for locating, reproducing, and analyzing hardware faults during testing; collaborating with the hardware R&D team to close the problem loop; outputting professional test reports and fault analysis reports; and accumulating testing experience and a case library.
  5. Leading the development of hardware testing standards and specifications, optimizing testing processes, introducing automated testing tools and technologies, and improving testing efficiency and accuracy.
