This is an entry-level role at Rivian focused on supporting the Service team during peak seasonal periods. The primary responsibilities include vehicle operations (receiving, inspecting, detailing, charging, logistics), assisting technicians with basic repairs and PDI tasks, and maintaining the service center environment. The role also involves training and career development through the TRAIL program, with a focus on preparing individuals for a future as a Service Technician. It requires a flexible schedule, physical exertion, and a valid driver's license.

What you'd actually do

  1. Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory.
  2. Maintain the quality and delivery readiness of our vehicles through washing, detailing, and charging.
  3. Manage vehicle logistics, including lot organization, shuttling vehicles, and secure key management.
  4. Assist technicians with basic vehicle repairs, focusing on Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) tasks and Express Lane work.
  5. Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized service center environment, adhering to 5S principles.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with no suspensions
  • Ability to work a flexible 40-hour week, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform physical exertion and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to use hands for grasping and using tools
  • Ability to see, read, and interpret documents

Nice to have

  • Previous technical experience (e.g., automotive repair, mechanical maintenance, electrical work)
  • Experience in an adjacent technical industry (e.g., aviation, HVAC, manufacturing)
