Advisor Development Program Client Associate

This role is for an entry-level Client Associate in Merrill Wealth Management's Advisor Development Program, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Financial Advisor. Responsibilities include providing client service support to Financial Advisors, obtaining Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66), and learning foundational skills for a WMCA role. The program involves progressive roles, culminating in building a book of business as a Financial Advisor trainee and eventually a Merrill Financial Advisor, focusing on client acquisition, relationship management, and providing financial advice.

What you'd actually do

  1. providing client service support to Financial Advisors (FAs)
  2. obtaining your Securities Industry licenses, where you will receive dedicated study time for your Securities Industry Essentials [SIE], Series 7, and Series 66 Exams
  3. providing client service support to multiple FAs
  4. serving as the most frequent point of contact within Merrill to address all service needs of their clients and acting as a resource for FAs on the team
  5. acquiring, building, and managing client relationships while considering a client’s complex financial picture and guiding them with advice and solutions
