What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and integrate acoustic reduction technologies.
  2. Develop and implement predictive analysis codes; builds and tests physical models; designs, develops, and builds test and verification equipment; and develops, tests, and integrates acoustic solutions.
  3. Conduct planning and “roadmapping” for the development of novel acoustics technologies and innovative designs.
  4. Works closely with other disciplines to optimize the integration of acoustic technologies.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related STEM discipline
  • 2 years related experience (Level 2) or 5 years (Level 3)
  • Comprehensive understanding of sound generation and acoustics transmission through space/materials
  • Experience in acoustic test/measurement, data processing, and analysis
  • US citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD secret security clearance

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a closely related engineering discipline
