Northrop Grumman is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer or Principal Aeronautical Engineer to join their team in Palmdale, CA. The role involves applying engineering principles to design, test, and evaluate aerospace systems within an Agile framework. Responsibilities include performing trade studies, developing requirements and architecture, and supporting system integration and testing. The position requires a Top Secret clearance and experience with systems development lifecycle aspects.

What you'd actually do

  1. Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, test, and evaluate systems
  2. Perform trade studies, engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation
  3. Actively participate in the efforts associated with Agile development, including release planning, sprint planning, scrum and retrospective.
  4. Work in an integrated team environment with other systems, software (SW), and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
  5. Prepare technical presentations for management and stakeholders and communicate clearly and effectively the technical approaches and findings

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
  • 2 years of related professional/military experience (for Level 2) or 5 years (for Level 3)
  • Master's degree with relevant experience (for Level 2/3)
  • Ph.D. with relevant experience (for Level 3)
  • Active US Government Top Secret clearance with SCI
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
