Agency Asset Manager I - Criticized Assets

This role manages a portfolio of distressed multifamily agency loans, focusing on risk monitoring, loss mitigation strategies, and financial analysis. It involves presenting to leadership, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with loan documents and agency requirements. The position requires experience in commercial real estate and GSE or CMBS experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage a portfolio of distressed multifamily agency assets, with a focus on developing loss mitigation strategies, based on complex analyses, financial performance, borrower net worth and liquidity, market conditions, collateral condition, and other risk metrics.
  2. Present to executive leadership, and act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing clear, frequent updates on progress and strategy to ensure compliance with all loan documents and Agency requirements
  3. Monitor monetary and non-monetary defaults and take swift action to mitigate risk
  4. Prepare property and loan level valuations using various valuation methodology such as discounted cash flows, direct capitalizations, and have discussion with appraisers and brokers for value opinions
  5. Analyze financial statements and property operating statements

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • 2 years of experience in commercial real estate
  • 2 years of GSE experience (Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac) or CMBS experience

  • 4 years of experience in commercial real estate
  • 3 years of GSE experience (Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac) or CMBS experience

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
