This role is for a Physical Security Agent on the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) at DoorDash. The primary responsibilities include real-time monitoring, triage, and response to incidents impacting the company's workforce, assets, and operations. The agent will analyze alerts, coordinate response actions, and escalate issues according to established protocols, ensuring rapid and coordinated action during critical events. This role involves security operations, access control, incident response, employee engagement, asset management, documentation, and event support. It requires experience in emergency management, public safety, or security operations, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The role is on-site and may require non-standard hours.

What you'd actually do

  1. Monitor and assess alerts from global intelligence, safety, and security systems to identify potential threats or incidents
  2. Triage incidents, determining severity and escalation requirements in accordance with CIRT standard operating procedures
  3. Act as the initial point of contact for incident reporting, ensuring information is captured accurately and escalated efficiently
  4. Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Workplace, HR, Legal, Comms, Operations) and external partners (e.g., law enforcement, emergency services) during incident response
  5. Maintain SOPs, post orders, incident reports, and audit records

Skills

Required

  • 2–4+ years of experience in emergency management, public safety, dispatch, GSOC, or related security operations environment
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification (current)
  • Strong analytical and situational awareness skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Calm and composed in emergencies, with strong problem-solving and judgment skills
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fluency in English required

Nice to have

  • Advanced First Aid training (EMT preferred)
  • Familiarity with incident management systems and communication tools (e.g., Everbridge, Dataminr, OnSolve, or similar)
  • Additional language skills (Spanish, French, or Mandarin) a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field (e.g., emergency management, criminal justice, homeland security)
  • Great communication and relationship building skills
