Northrop Grumman is seeking an Agile Coach/Lead Scrum Master to support national defense programs by ensuring the effectiveness of agile teams through coaching, mentoring, and facilitating lean-agile practices. The role involves supporting teams in adopting agile methodologies, identifying and removing impediments, tracking metrics, and developing other Scrum Masters. Experience with agile at scale frameworks and advanced Scrum Master certifications are essential.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as a servant-leader and facilitator to support teams in the day-to-day operation of their lean-agile practices and work across several teams in an advisory / coaching and assurance capacity
  2. Actively facilitate team-of-teams events (e.g. Planning Interval Planning, Continuous Improvement Workshops) and supporting activities such as roadmap development to ensure that the relevant objectives are achieved
  3. Support the team in identifying and addressing impediments to the attainment of goals, including taking action to remove impediments where appropriate
  4. Support the team in identifying and tracking metrics and data to support data driven decision making
  5. Support teams or individuals to improve performance and achieve goals through training, coaching and mentoring

Skills

Required

  • Practical experience of servant-leadership in agile teams
  • Thorough knowledge of lean-agile principles, practices and methods
  • Excellent organisational and facilitation skills
  • Adept with Jira or similar tools including data analysis
  • Holds an advanced Scrum Master certification e.g. PSM II / III, SASM
  • Experience of Agile Coaching or qualifications including ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC or ICE-AC
  • Experience of and/or certification in agile-at-scale framework e.g. SAFe, LeSS, Nexus
